Michael Ray Hawxhurst

Michael Hawxhurst, 55, passed away on September 19, 2026, in Lake City, Florida.

Michael was born in Tacoma, Washington, on November 14, 1970. He was a kind, selfless, and hard-working man who devoted his life to his family. He was the epitome of a true gentleman and everything a father should be.

Michael worked his entire life for his family and took great pride in providing for and caring for those he loved. He enjoyed reading, science fiction, computing, and, most of all, being in the presence of the people he loved. Michael graduated from ITT Technical Institute and proudly went on to start his own company.

Michael will be remembered for his generous heart, gentle nature, and unwavering love for his family. He was the kind of person who put others before himself and was always willing to help those around him. His greatest joy was simply being with the people he loved, and the memories he created with them will be cherished forever.

Michael is survived by his mother, Kay Woods; stepfather, Malcolm Woods; daughter, Jennifer Bailey; son-in-law, Brandon Bailey; grandson, Deacon Michael Bailey; brother, Patrick Hawxhurst; and father, Tim Hawxhurst.

He leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but a lifetime of love and memories that will never be forgotten. He is deeply missed already.
