Michael A. Namey

NAMEY - Michael Alexander, 18, passed away suddenly on September 22, 2015. He suffered a seizure/cardiac arrest the day prior to his death while in class at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. The exact cause of death is still undetermined. Michael was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 4, 1997. He attended Assumption Catholic School from preschool through 8th grade and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bishop Kenny High School. He was an engineering major at UCF. He and his family are members of Assumption Catholic Church. Michael is survived by parents, Joe and Connie Namey; brother, Joseph Namey; grandparents, Joe and Betty Namey and Connie and Madelyn Roberson; Aunts, Julie Roberson, Kim Namey, Patti Namey and Patricia McCauley-Cox; Uncles, Bart Roberson, Daniel Namey, John Namey, David Namey and Bryan Cox; Cousins, Travis Roberson, Brooke Roberson, Kelley Roberson, Mallory McCauley, Matthew Namey and Jason Namey; Michael was preceded in death by his cousin, Max McCauley; Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Assumption Catholic Church, Atlantic Blvd. Burial will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hendricks Ave. Funeral arrangements by Corey-Kerlin Funeral Homes.
