Mike was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 19, 1957 to Richard S. Narut and Ruth E. (Emery) Narut. Mike married Ramona Ivey on August 26, 1983, and retired from Dearborn Public Schools.
Mike loved to play ice hockey, was on several teams and played for 35 years. Mike loved sports, with his favorite teams being the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Motown was his favorite music and he enjoyed going to music concerts; he also loved to go fishing.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ruth Narut. He is survived by his wife; Ramona Ivey, daughter Lauren Wood, grand-daughter Ivey Wood, son-in-law Jeremy Wood, aunt Marilyn and uncle Arthur Emery and two nieces.
The family would like to give special thanks to Reverend Karen Billy and all of the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Baptist South Hospital for their love and kindness.
