Michelle "Micky" Damato Fonseca was lifted up in the arms of the angels on Thursday, May 9, 2013. She was born the fifth of nine children to Richard and Anne Damato. Micky was a treasured daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved the outdoors, especially the garden. Micky worked in the medical field and took great pride in her professional accomplishments. A devout Catholic, Micky’s life was a testament of her faith and devotion to God. Micky was predeceased by her father Richard Damato and is survived by her children Jennifer Dunn (Tim) and JT Smith (Corey) grandchildren Mason, Makayla and Jackson; her mother, Anne Damato; her eight siblings and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Micky’s name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
