Mildred Thomas Suggs, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at home after a lengthy illness. She was born March 27, 1924 in St. Augustine to William and Nell Barron Thomas. Mrs. Suggs had lived in Jacksonville most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Marcus Suggs. Mrs. Suggs retired from Southern Bell after over 33 years of service. She was a member of Arlington CongregationalChurch. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Jeanie Schub (David) and Mimi Carter; four grandchildren, Charme, Carrie, Marcus and Joel; a great grandchild, Shea and many other loving relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Arlington Congregational Church, 431 University Blvd. North, with Dr. Bruce Havens, officiating. Burial was held in Greenlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd.
