Mildred Lois Davis White, 96, of Jacksonville, Florida was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 13, 2026. Mildred was born on December 13, 1929, in Sanderson, Florida and was one of seven children born to the late William Walter Davis and Annie Mae Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alma White, daughter, Angela Sue, three brothers: Dorsey, Walter, and Melvin, and three sisters: Thelma, Myrtle, and Cassie.
Mildred graduated high school a salutatorian and had academic honors in history, English, and grammar. She attended Jacksonville Community College furthering her education. She married her sweetheart, William (Bill) White on November 7, 1948, and together they had three lovely children, Angela Sue, Deanna, and Stanley.
She worked for the Ford Motor Company for 40 years and rose through the ranks. She started as a secretary in the 1950s and finished as an executive responsible for the company’s bids and purchasing center.
She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, bowling, singing in the church choir, family genealogy, and family vacations. She loved Heavenly Father’s creations, especially the mountains and beaches. And she loved Europe.
Mildred was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in numerous capacities and leadership roles. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. Mildred and Bill enjoyed serving the Lord and helping others. For ten years, they served as temple workers in the Atlanta temple and several more years in the Orlando temple. She loves her Savior and felt peace, comfort, and a sense of closeness to the Savior in the temple.
She was a loving and caring wife to her husband, Bill for 65 years, who went home to the Lord in 2014. Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Wenger, and husband, Niklaus of Switzerland, and her son, Stanley W. White of Jacksonville.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 11951 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, Florida. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. After the service, a luncheon will be served at the church. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin @ www.hgmandarin.com.
