

We are saddened by the passing of Mindy Ann Fixel. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 16th, at 12 noon at the New Center Cemetery, 200 E. 43rd St, Jacksonville, with Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner, officiating.
Mindy is survived by her son, Adam Lee; her siblings, Michael (Ava) Fixel, Alan Fixel, and Kathy (Morrie) Osterer; her nieces, Leia and Juliet Fixel and Lydia and Abigail Fixel, Natalie (Rabbi Eli) Menaged, Jessica (Dr. Victor) Hassid , Melissa (Dr. Douglas) Storch, and Ashley Osterer; and nine grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Scott Sherwood, father of Adam.
Mindy was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. She was optimistic, outgoing and loving to all who knew her. Mindy raised money for research on Crohn's disease and championed the rights of children with learning disabilities. Over the course of her career, she was a successful radio sales executive and a successful realtor with KB Homes. Mindy loved the Grateful Dead and Broadway musicals.
Those who wish to extend their condolences can join the family members at the Jacksonville Jewish Center for evening minyan at 6:45 PM on Wednesday and Thursday, August 16 and 17, and 6:30 PM on Sunday and Monday, August 20 and 21. May the Holy One comfort the members of Mindy Fixel's family among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
