MAIDA, Moussa Maida, 19, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008. Moussa was born December 19, 1988 in Syria and had moved to the U.S. three years ago, February 12, 2005 with his family. He graduated from Englewood High School in 2007 and was attending FCCJ, planning to continue to UNF and major in Engineering. He is survived by his father and mother, Radi and Samar Maida; 2 sisters, Cristen and Georgi; and many other loving family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, at St. Ephrem Syriac Catholic Church, with Fr. Selwan A. Taponi, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, May 9, at the church. Donations may be made in Moussa’s memory to St. Ephrem Syriac Catholic Church, 4650 Kernan Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224.
