Nancy Elizabeth German

Nancy Elizabeth German, age 78, went to be with our Lord on June 28, 2017. She was born March 3, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of George and Dorothy Reed. Nancy graduated from Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Michigan and attended Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was currently the Vice President of the Arlington Optimist Club and a Life Member of Optimist International. Her favorite passion was shopping, cooking and baking for special occasions such as, birthdays, Christmas and other special days for all family members. Nancy was also very active in her church. Nancy is survived by her husband, Carleton (Bud) German of 56 years; sons, Mark German and wife Kathryn of Orange Park, FL, David German and wife Angie of Portland, OR; four grandchildren; sister, Donna Edward and husband John of Canton, MI. She is also survived by close family members, Helen and Darrell Quinn of Cadillac, MI and Laura Perez of Portland, OR. Nancy was a bright and beautiful person who brought light and joy to all she touched and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32217. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Lakewood United Methodist Church.
