She graduated from Michigan State University where she met her future husband, George Momberg. They were married in Michigan on July 24, 1954. The next four years she became an Air Force Officer’s wife. They moved to Jacksonville in 1965 at which time they joined Lakewood Presbyterian Church. She was a speech therapist for Duval County Schools for 26 years, most of which was at Beauclerc Elementary. After retiring in 1995, she spent 15 years volunteering at Community Hospice where she and her friend Eileen were known as the “Donut Ladies”.
A memorial service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, May 25th at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 2001 University Blvd. W., with Reverend Terry Lucarelli officiating.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, George, Nancy is survived by two sons, Mark (Niki), and Keith (Robin); two daughters Amy Bradfield (Paul) and Meg Sheffield (David); 10 grandchildren: Grant (Liz), George, Sarah, Caroline, Courtney (Matt), K.J., Rebecca, Kyle, Matthew and Lindsay plus two great grandchildren: Cailin and Emma. She is also survived by her sister, Sally Roberts.
