Neil Conlon, 63, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2021. Neil was born to Catherine and Frank Conlon on May 7, 1958. He was born in Prestwick, Scotland and lived most of his life in Abington, Ma. prior to moving to Jacksonville, FL.
He is survived by his sister, Sheena Kennedy, his Brother-in-law Joseph Kennedy and his niece Catherine Kennedy as well as many cousins and relatives in Scotland. Neil was a quiet person and was very devoted to his mother Catherine Conlon. They were in-separable after Neil's father Frank passed away in 2010 and spent many happy years together.
Neil enjoyed fixing things and loved to work on his 1988 Chevy Caprice. He was always fixing things in the garage and around the house. He worked for many years at different companies as a mail distribution clerk before retiring in 2015. He loved to ride his bicycle and was an avid swimmer. Neil was also interested in architecture and drafting and went to school for a certificate in that field.
Although he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in later life, he always had a good outlook on life and made the best of his time on earth. Neil will be missed by his family and friends and by all who knew him.
A special Memorial Dinner in his honor and a Celebration of his Life will be held at Culhane's Irish Pub on Saturday January 8th at 6:00PM.
