Nello Robert "Bob" Zortea

Nello Robert “Bob” Zortea, 100, of Callahan, FL passed away March 22, 2021. He was born on February 14, 1921, in Johnson City, ILL to parents, Louis and Emma (Pasquini) Zortea. Bob, as he was lovingly called, was a proud WWII Veteran of the US Navy and was honorably discharged after over 5 years of distinguished service. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lorain Zortea; his second wife, Margaret Zortea; sons, Robert Zortea and Gary Zortea; daughters, Lornell Starr and Lorain Ankrum; sister, Inez Zortea; and a grandson, Robbie Zortea. Survivors include daughters, Gail Davis (Jimmy) and Inez Z. Humphrey (Terry); daughter-in-law, Bertha Zortea; special caregivers, Erica Wright and Connie Patillo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a great-great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Alex Szabo officiating.
