

Norma McCormick, 82 of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Wednesday November 22, 2017. She was born in Lenoir, North Carolina in January of 1935. She grew up in Lenoir and when she was around 18 years old, she left Lenoir and eventually ended up calling Jacksonville, FL home. In Jacksonville, she would go on to have a long career in the legal profession, working for such firms as Sheppard, Fletcher, Hand & Adams, and Martin, Ade, Birchfield & Mickler, and Clive Morgan, P.A..
Norma was an avid bowler growing up and enjoyed many other sports, such as football, especially cheering for the Washington Redskins. She also loved going to the beach and looked forward to taking family vacations with her son and aunt to Sanibel Island. Norma had a big heart and it showed in her love for cats. She could be found feeding and taking care of many stray cats. Later in life she made a habit of attending a weekly card game on Tuesday with her friends, where they would play a game of Hand & Foot. She also had a lot of fun playing games online.
Norma is survived by her son, Sean McCormick, her granddaughter, Mia McCormick, and her cat, Lily. Norma was a wonderful mother and friend, and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32207.
