Norma Jean Touchton, 90, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. She was born August 21, 1926 in Jacksonville, Florida to Joseph Wheeler and Bessie Auten Williams. Mrs. Touchton graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and was a long time member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Remer Young Touchton; aunt, Louise Mehaffey; granddaughters, Paige and Cassie Touchton; and brother, Sheldon Williams. She is survived by her son, Randy (Sabrina) Touchton; daughter, Cathy (Scott) Giddens; granddaughter, Jennifer (Will) Grubbs; grandson, Justin (Sheila) Murphy; great-granddaughter, Catherine Grubbs; great-grandson, Trey Murphy; brothers, Bob and Billy Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, August 7, 2017 at Southside Baptist Church, 1435 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32207 with Rev. Gary Webber, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
