Olivia Padilla McDonald (73), passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024. All who met her spoke of her warm soul and quick laugh. Only the lucky few knew of her legendary, delicious Christmas rolls! Her family was her heart, but she also loved to crochet, knit, and work in her garden. She loved showing off her current projects and delighted in donating her handiwork.
Olivia was predeceased by her husband, Douglas J. McDonald. When he said it was time to go, she said she wasn’t ready; but she ultimately agreed it was time. Now they’re together again.
She is survived by her son, Carlos A. McDonald, daughter-in-law, MaryLou, and her grandchildren, Keaton, Colin, Rachel and Nicole.
She will be interred at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
We miss her more than words can say, but we are also grateful that she is free.
