Oveida L. Mick

Oveida was born in Georgia but spent most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She loved to travel and dance and was blessed to do much of both before her husband passed away in 1994.

Oveida was preceded in death by her husband, William “Willie” C. Mick, Jr.; her daughter, Anita Funderburk and her son, William “Bill” C. Mick III.

She is survived by her daughter, Patrice Sanders; her grandchildren, Kim Mann, Paul R. Funderburk, Jr., William “Billy” C. Mick IV and Tracie Shoemaker. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Garrett, Chandler and Morgan Mann; Brandon, Kyle and Allie Funderburk and Drew and Max Shoemaker.

Oveida will be remembered for her generous and caring spirit, and those who loved her rejoice she is now re-united with her loving husband and her Heavenly Father, free of pain and waiting for the next dance song to begin.

Graveside services will be held at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 1:00 pm. A remembrance reception will follow.
