Patricia Ann Koester

Koester, Patricia Ann, age 76, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Buffalo, NY, and graduated from the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital in 1958. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Alice Paolini. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronald “George” Koester, two daughters, Kimberly Castle of Jacksonville, FL and Colleen (Jon) Mack of Jacksonville, FL; her three precious grandchildren who her world revolved around, Thomas “TJ” Castle (Dinora), Carlye Castle, and Samuel Mack. She was also known as “Other Nanny” and loved Rory Pevez like her own great granddaughter; her beloved sister, Joan Baldwin of Bel-Air, MD; nephews Scott (Mary) Baldwin of Bel-Air, MD, Jeff (Barbara) Baldwin of Bel-Air, MD, Danny (Michelle) Koester of Tampa FL, and niece Marla Pendelton of Tampa, FL, and many other dear friends and family. Pat took great pride in loving, taking care and nurturing her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of North East Florida. A gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 3 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A private interment will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
