

Her family moved to several cities in Ohio-Eleria and Akron before settling in Freemont where her father worked for the Freemont Press. She graduated from Freemont Ross High School in 1949 which is where she met her husband of 61 years, Paul H. Mcconihay Jr. She was married in 1949 and moved with her husband Paul who was stationed in Pensacola, FL. then settled in Jacksonville. She worked in accounting and retired from F.C.C.J. She was a dedicated member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church for over 55 years and was active in United Methodist Women, Young of Heart Choir, and Fidellis Sunday School Class. She was also a member of The Order Of Eastern Star #133 in Freemont, OH. She enjoyed traveling, any sports with her sons and grandchildren, serving meals on wheels for her church, puzzles, word games, soccer and ice hockey. She never met a stranger and was always there to help day or night. She would wake up singing, and carry on through the day happily smiling and finishing the day in prayer. She was an avid picture taker as her camera was always carried along with by her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Juanita and Allen Clucker, 2 sisters Eleanor Jane and Audrey Clucker, husband Paul H. McConihay Jr., Brother in-law John Hemminger, and Grandson Adam McConihay.
She is Survived by sons Michael and wife Kathy and Paul Mcconihay III and Shauna Mcconihay : grandchildren Duncan, Philip, Paul IV Mcconihay, and Marissa Cowles; great grandchildren: Everett Cowles, Quintin, Tatiana, and Taliah Mcconihay, : sister Rose Hemminger of Bath Ohio, niece Karen Hemminger-Pecoraro, nephews Alan and Mark Hemminger and 11 great nieces and nephews .
After a memorial service in her honor on Friday March 11 at 7 pm at Murray Hill Methodist Church, her cremated remains will be placed with her husband Paul H. McConihay Jr. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
