Patricia Stafford Rousselle from Robeson, North Carolina went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2024, she was 90 years old. She died peacefully at home in Fernandina Beach, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
After finishing Business College, Pat had an opportunity to work at a radio station in North Carolina, in which she was eventually transferred to Jacksonville, Florida, where she met Roland, the love of her life and found her love for Florida football, all things Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars. When it wasn’t football season, she had a life filled with adventure, from one of her many cruises, to her infamous “Tail of the Dragon drive.” Also a member of Point LaVista Garden Club and Jacksonville Beach Boppers, her time was always filled with many lifelong friends.
Pat was survived by her sons Ronnie (Tammy) and Gary. Grandma Pat as she was lovingly called, left behind her grandson Donald Rosseland (Melinda) and their son Landon, followed by 11 great-grandkids (Landon’s cousins, aunts and uncles) who loved her very much. She will be met in Heaven by her husband Roland and great-granddaughter Alexus. May Heaven be ready for all the dancing they have to catch up on.
A visitation will be held for Pat on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel in the Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. A graveside service officiated by Pastor Jeff Arnold from Mandarin Presbyterian will be held for her at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery at the mausoleum on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00pm, followed by the family receiving friends for a reception back at the Legacy Lodge.
