He was predeceased by a son Butch.
Surviving are a daughter Paulette (Don), son David (Jeannie), ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a loving and caring friend, Nancy Carlton.
Serving as pallbearers are his grandchildren, Donnie, Paul and Woody, his nephew Jack, close friends Johnny Dowling and Jerry Cravey. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Nicole and Kristen.
The Funeral will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Road, Jacksonville, FL on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 am with Fr. Michael J. Larkin officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, 32257.
