Paul Kloeppel, 78, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at All Saints Nursing Home after an extended illness. Paul was born February 16, 1932 in Jacksonville. He attended Bolles Military School and attended University of Florida, where he was in the Gator Band. He loved music and played the drums for several years with local bands. Paul served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1955. After his discharge he worked for the George Washington Hotel, downtown Jacksonville and later for Hardage & Sons Funeral Home. He was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church. Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dee; two daughters, Karen Beverly (Wayne) and Angela Brant (Joe); one son, Paul Robert, Jr.; three granddaughters, Jessica Brant, Chrissy and Casey Beverly; two grandsons, Joey and Jaxon Brant; one sister, Dorothea Armstrong; one brother, Arthur Kloeppel. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Armstrong, Chris Armstrong, Peter Armstrong, Chris Kloeppel, Michael Carlson and Brian Carlson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
