Paul David Smith

Paul David “David” Smith, 58 , passed away on Tuesday August 6, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born in Tallahassee, Fl. To Alvin Jackson Smith and Edith Catherine Hansford Smith on July 3, 1961. David enjoyed the beach and fishing. He was a huge football fan especially the Florida “Gators” and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Watching Old Westerns and Military TV shows were his favorite past times. His granddaughter Alanna “Pumpkin” was the apple of her Granddaddy’s eye.

He was predeceased by his parents and his son Joshua Smith as well as some brothers and other relatives. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Tammy Smith; daughter, Jennifer Hunt; sons, Jacob Smith and Jesse Smith (Maria Crews); mother-in-law, Judith Boston (Hugh); sisters, Kathy Vaughn (John), Elizabeth Schwartz (Tom), Rebecca Smith and Robin Smith; brother, Carl Smith; granddaughter, Alanna Hunt and several nieces, nephews and other wonderful friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends on Sunday August 11, 2019 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32211. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Arlington Park Cemetery.
