

Phillip Maskell Jackson (Mac), age 94 passed away on April 21, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on December 27, 1930 in the town of Lee, Florida. His parents were George Cecil Jackson and Annie Mae Arnold. He graduated from Madison High School in 1948. Following that, he attended Massey Business College in Jacksonville, FL. After completion, he served in the U. S. Air Force from July 1951 through July 1955. He graduated from Jacksonville University in 1962.
Phillip was married to Dorothy Osteen Jackson for almost 59 years. His most significant employment was at Parker and Mick Welding as a comptroller. He was a devoted husband, father, and Papa, and also a faithful member of Ft. Caroline Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Toni Clark, and son, Mac Jackson (Jami); grandchildren: Lauren Kirkland (John), Phillip Jackson, Jordan Jackson (Karli), and Shelton Clark; and great grandchildren: Kaylee Kirkland, Kyle Kirkland, Ryley Jackson, June Jackson, and Owen Jackson.
A visitation for Phillip will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Corey Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
In lieu of flowers, it was his desire that a donation be made to Ft. Caroline Baptist Church.
