Randall Wayne Stafford,

STAFFORD, SR. Randall Wayne Stafford, Sr., 65, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday May 4, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Randall was a native and life long resident of Jacksonville. Born September 29, 1944 to Leonard Randall and Mary Thompson Stafford he attended local schools and retired after 32 years from JEA, where he had been a lineman and a service dispatcher. He was a proud member of the First Baptist Church, a Florida State Seminole fan, always enjoyed fishing and traveling around the country with his wife in their RV. But, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his large family which include his loving wife of 48 years Patricia; sons, Randall W. Stafford, Jr. (Shirley) and Kenneth S. Stafford (Tammy); sister, Marie Satterfield (Robert); brothers, Leonard “Rusty” Stafford (Cindy), Dale Stafford (Geri) and Dwight Stafford; granddaughter, Brandi Stafford; great granddaughter, Lily Burnett; step grandson, Robert Smith; step granddaughter, Brittany Boggs and numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday May 7, 2010 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery on Beach Blvd. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made in Randall’s name to N. E. Florida Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL. 32257.
