Randy Lee Glass "Corky"

Randy Lee Glass, known by “Corky” among close friends and family, passed away on June 1, 2013. He was 23 years old. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Travis and Joy Glass. He was a two-year letterman in varsity baseball at Terry Parker High School. After graduating high school in 2008, he attended Florida State College at Jacksonville, earning an Associate of Science degree in Firefighting in the spring of 2012. Upon graduation, he decided to pursue his career at Publix, where he had worked since 2007. After dating for five years, he proposed to the love of his life, Jennifer Trego, on February 19, 2010. They were married July 20, 2012. He continued to advance at Publix, most recently being promoted to Grocery Team Leader. He loved spending time with Jennifer, and they enjoyed going on cruises and riding their motorcycles together. He was extremely excited to be playing baseball again with a local Men’s Adult Baseball League as a member of the Jacksonville Storm. This excitement was only topped when he and Jennifer announced that they were expecting their first child. He was thrilled beyond belief to find out they were having a little boy, Nathaniel Randy Lee Glass. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and unborn son, Nathaniel Randy Lee; his parents, Travis and Joy Glass; sisters, Kacey and Grace; grandparents, Randy and Joyce McCormick, and Vic Hackford; great-grandfather, Rex Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members. Those that called him friend are too numerous to count. His infectious smile will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. A visitation service will be held Friday, June 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens on Hendricks Avenue. A celebration of life service will take place at Christian Family Chapel on Old St. Augustine Road, Saturday morning, June 8, at 11 a.m. A memorial fund has been set up for Jennifer and Nathaniel Randy Lee Glass at Vystar Credit Union.
