Ray Omer Lannom passed away peacefully at Community Hospice Hadlow Center for Caring on May 20, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. A loving husband, father and Papa, he was a man of strength and honor. He possessed a quick wit, encyclopedic knowledge of Florida history and architecture, and kind spirit. His greatest joy was found in his family whom he loved dearly and unconditionally. Although sad beyond measure, we will forever cherish his legacy and the memories we have of our time together.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Omer E. Lannom, Jr. and Christine R. Lannom, and a son Michael Ray Lannom. He is survived by his wife Cynthia C. Lannom, daughter Amy Catherine Lannom, son Christopher Philip Lannom (Kelly), and eleven grandchildren, Joshua Daniel Parks, Seth Samuel Parks, James Leavitt Parks, Charlotte Anna Parks, Kemper Philip Lannom, Kensington Joyce Lannom, Coby Mills Lannom, Catherine Denise Lannom, Cooper Thomas Lannom, Keegan Richard Lannom and Karyss Anna Lannom.
Graveside services will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Boulevard on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:00 am. A reception to celebrate his life will follow in Hardage-Giddens, Oaklawn Chapel.
