Raymond Yeary, Sr., 87, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 14, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Paris and Maggie Yeary.
At an early age, he was drafted and proudly served two years in the United States Army, stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. He was retired from the B & O Railroad where he was a car inspector for many years. Raymond’s many loves included his Ohio farms, travelling, home projects, country music and of course, his Ohio State Buckeyes.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary and his children Linda (Yeary) Balcom, Ray Jr. (Kimberly), and Lisa (Yeary) McKinney (Michael). He has five grandchildren; Lauren (Charles), Zachary, Erik, Benjamin and Alex and three great-grandchildren, Lila, Quentin, and Colton.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 17th at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
