Rebecca "Becky" Schroth

Rebecca Lynn Schroth, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 27, 2017. Rebecca was a devoted and loving wife of Wayne Schroth for 41 years. She served her 35 year professional career advocating and supporting the educational needs of children with disabilities and their parents by holding such positions as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Director of FDLRS/NEFEC, Florida Inclusion Network Facilitator/USF, and a resource specialists for Pinellas County FDLRS. She was an avid animal lover and animal rights activist who gave her spare time to many animal rescue organizations such a Southern States Rescued Rottweiler’s and Gulfstream Guardian Angels Rottweiler Rescue. She welcomed many animals into her loving and nurturing home. Her compassionate love for animals was only unparalleled to her devotion to children and love for her friends. Her beautiful smile mirrored her vibrancy for life, which was coupled by an infectious sense of humor, a nurturing heart, and an immense kindness for all living things. She had a love for the arts, outdoor gardening, beading, knitting, and demonstrated innovation and creative spirit in everything she did. Rebecca was an amazing person whose magnetism, smile and loyal heart drew everyone to her. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne of Saint Johns; their dog, Charlie; sisters, Sharon Bostrom of Maitland, Diana Barreiro of Brandon; brothers, Douglas Interlandi of Tampa, and David Interlandi of St Petersburg; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and loving friends. She was a unique shining star in a vast universe whose sparkling light will be missed by all. The world has lost a kind-hearted, benevolent soul whose presence made it a much better place by being in it. A Celebration of Rebecca's Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
