

Reese R. Bohn, age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was a native and life long resident of Jacksonville. He was the son of Clarence and Hazel Bohn. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Della Lavoie Bohn; daughter, Kathleen (David) Kudlo; three sons, John (Barbara), Neil (Kelli), Stephen (Cindy); grandchildren, Thomas, Chris, Sarah, Benton, Eric, Andrew, Susanne, Laura, and Missy; and one great grandson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Bruce R. Bohn and his sister, Theresa B. Hartley.
Reese loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at Lake “O” where he fished for many years. Reese retired from Atlantic Bank/First Union after 47 years. He was an active board member of the American Lung Association for 30+ years and he served on the St. Vincent Foundation board. He was a life-long Catholic and a member of Assumption Catholic Church for over 75 years. He was a past Grand Knight of the Bishop Kenny Council #1951 and past chairman of Bishop Kenny High School Board. He was also a founding member of the Catholic Youth Organization from 1969 to present. Reese was an avid bass fisherman and loved all sports.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm with a Rosary service at 7pm on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens, Hendricks Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, September 14,2015 at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville with Father Fred Parke, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Mandarin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Knights of Columbus, #1951, 1501 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida.
