Regina Herndon, 83, went to meet her Lord on December 20, 2017. Regina was born on October 18, 1934 in Neersville, VA to Theodore and Helen Pomeroy. She loved her family and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In her career she worked as a Secretary at W.W. Gay Mechanical Engineering Company, followed by being Administrator Secretary at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene for several years. Surviving family members include her devoted husband of 62 years, Jim; children, Jeffrey Alan Herndon, Timothy Neal Herndon and Renee Herndon Theis; grandchildren, Mallory, Riley and Austin Theis; sisters, Betty Smith, Marie Taylor, Lorraine Trice, May Lindquist, and brother, Leslie Pomeroy. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene, 4151 Old Middleburg Rd N, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
