On June 14 2025 at 1:11 am a light has dimmed in our lives and in our family home forever that we must keep lit as a family together. Righteous and wise, a guardian of our lives, beloved husband, proud and supportive father, nurturing and adoring grandfather, and loyal friend—Dr. Reza Vaghefi has joined the love of his life, Simin Vaghefi, in heaven.
Together again, they are eternally dancing—watching over all those they love, gently reminding us to live life to the fullest and never miss a chance to cherish the beauty of this world.
Reza’s passion was lifelong learning; his devotion, however, belonged entirely to his small but mighty family. His sharp intellect and unique sense of humor remained vibrant even in his final days. He lived with intention, never wasting a moment, always ensuring his gratitude was expressed through service—by giving back, by being productive, and by lifting others up.
When asked to describe his beloved wife, he always said simply: LOVE. In these past few years, he became the very embodiment of that word. Without our mother, we came to know our father as a man whose every moment radiated love—shared with everyone he encountered, but especially with his children and grandchildren.
His greatest joy was to offer advice and wisdom—to help those around him grow, to better their lives and the lives of their families. He had a gift for knowing when someone needed support and did not hesitate to offer it. His belief in the power of education as a path to growth and fulfillment was unwavering, and he shared that belief with anyone he could help.
Dr. Reza Vaghefi leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and service. He is survived by his children Shireen V. Firouzian (Farzad) and Jubeen (Lara) Vaghefi, and by his beloved grandchildren: Farshad Firouzian, Fardean Firouzian, Cyrus Vaghefi, and Soraya Vaghefi—as well as countless friends whose lives were touched by his compassion.
