Britt - Richard Langston Britt, 63, died from a battle with cancer on July 4th in the arms of his wife, Jeffry Britt. Richard, son of John and Jean Britt, was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a graduate of Wolfson High school and Emory University. He was a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Britt leaves behind a wife, Jeffry; two stepsons and their spouses, Jay and Jody Ticer; three daughters and their spouses, Melissa Nelson, Cassandra Bradley, and Virginia Astfalk; and twelve grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 15, 2011, 10:30am, at Oaklawn Cemetery. HARDAGE-GIDDENS OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Blvd is serving the family.
