Richard Troy Edmondson, 70, died December 1, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Born November 30, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida, Richard grew up in North Shore and attended Andrew Jackson HS, graduating class of '64. He also graduated from Riverside Military Academy and attended Valdosta State College.
Many friends remember Richard as an "automobile man" his entire life. He loved to golf with his buddies, garden, cook, read good books and always do good deeds for others.
Richard is predeceased by his parents, Woodrow & Odessa Lewis Edmondson. He is survived by sisters, Kay E. Gray of Jacksonville, FL and Elaine E. Caldwell (Bill) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; step-children, Debbie Presser (Jeff) of Huntersville, NC, Charles Tyson (Michelle) of Orange Park, FL; numerous loving cousins and many special lifetime friends. Family pets, Molly and Jules, will always look for him! Richard was a great friend, fun loving, very thoughtful man with a kind heart and big smile. He will be greatly missed.
Celebration of life will be at a later date. Family requests no flowers, but instead, memorial contributions to your favorite charity or church in his remembrance.
