

Rick was born on March 19, 1969, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Thomas E. Toney, Sr. and Darlene Abboud Toney, both of whom preceded him in death. He lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and humor and will be remembered for his deep love of family and friends.
Rick grew up in the Catholic faith, attending Assumption Catholic School and Bishop Kenny High School. He later graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in accounting. Rick spent his professional career with Baptist Health, faithfully serving the organization as a trusted financial expert for 30 years. Throughout his life, Rick was passionate about hunting, fishing, family trips to New York, Florida State football, card games, and cigars.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Claudia Crawford Toney; their two children, Victoria Brooke Toney and Nicholas Japour Toney; and his two brothers and their families: Thomas E. Toney, Jr., his wife Christina, and their children, Leah, Nicole, and Sophia; and Mark Toney, his wife Meagan, and their children, Alex, Henry, Saira, and Emily.
Rick is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gretchen and James Crawford, Sr.; his sister-in-law, Allison Crawford; and his brother-in-law, James Crawford, Jr., his wife Brandi and their children, Ryan, Tyler, Jac, and Simon.
Rick’s love is further carried on through Josiah McCallum, whom Rick loved as a son, his wife Kenadee, and their daughter, Noelle.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, with a vigil service at 6:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 10:00 am at San Jose Catholic Church, 3619 Toledo Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32217. Mass will be followed by a mercy meal at the Ramallah American Club located at 3130 Parental Home Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32216.

Rick will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
