Robert Allen Bullen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Allen Bullen, 73, of Jacksonville, Florida on October 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born June 23, 1953, in Fayette, Mississippi to Helen Allen Bullen and Lucien Bullen, Robert grew up alongside his two siblings, Lucien Bullen, Jr. and Marguerite Bullen Gowins. He spent his career in the power generation industry, retiring from procurement management at Cedar Bay Generating Station in Jacksonville, Florida.

Robert and his beloved wife, Laurie Hammack Bullen, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August of 2026. Together, they raised their only son, Preston Allen Bullen.

Robert was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Pawpaw, and loyal friend. A true Southern gentleman and cowboy at heart, he was known for his gentle nature, welcoming spirit, and kindness. He was a man of strength, honor, and grace who never met a stranger. His greatest joy was his family and his love for those around him, and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Hammack Bullen; his son, Preston Allen Bullen (Katie) of Jacksonville, Florida; granddaughters, Addison, Mallory, and Blake Bullen and brother, Lucien Bullen, Jr. of Fayette, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Allen Bullen and Lucien Bullen Sr. and his sister, Marguerite Bullen Gowins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
