

Robert Lawrence "Larry" Collins, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Larry was born on February 11, 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up and attended school in Arlington. Larry was a talented and accomplished carpenter/framer, freehand artist and drummer. He worked in construction, but music, especially playing the drums was his life-long passion and played with many local bands including Skytrain, Weekend Warriors, and Whizz Bang. Larry was a warm, loving compassionate, funny brother, uncle and friend. He was an Organ Donor and his death gave three people a new chance at life. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert L. (Bobby) Collins and Minnie L. (Lee) Collins. Larry is survived by his three sisters, Linda C. Stover (Tom), Barbara Seebacher (Joe) and Debra Smoyer and his longtime companion and friend, Valentina (Tina) Gladue; her daughter Delinda (Dan) Kupper and their children Miles, Gracie, and Tyler who called him Grandpa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews, great-great nephews and friends. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 with a visitation from 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. and a service from 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. with Phillip Gatlin officiating at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32211.
