

Robert “Bob” Cook, 86, passed Thursday June 3rd after a brief unexpected illness. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill Cook and Ricky Cook. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eva Cook. Also survived by children Linda Walsh (Ed) San Rafael California, Bob Cook (Darla) St Johns Florida, Lori Nowell (Randy) Columbia Alabama, twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister Donna Powell, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Born in Ardsley New York he graduated from Ardsley High School in 1953, served in the Army during the Korean War and came home to marry his high school sweetheart in 1957. He attended Pace University and after 40 years of working in sales for various companies including Silvercup, Hostess, Entenmann’s, Arnold Bread and Golden Flake he and Eva retired to Jacksonville Florida in 1998.
A devoted husband and father he spent his retirement years serving on various boards in their community at Sweetwater and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren attending all their activities, fishing trips, and traveling.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, on Saturday July 3rd at 1:00 p.m.
