

Bob was a kind, intelligent man who rarely lost his patience with family and friends.
Bob served in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1967. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in 1965 and a MS in Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1968. He served the University of Florida’s student government, on the Florida Blue Key and was president of his college fraternity. He worked for Flood & Associates in Jacksonville, FL for about 15 years and moved to Georgia where he continued his work in civil engineering. He moved back to Jacksonville in December of 2013. He was the “King” at the City of Jacksonville’s Senior Prom held on August 2 at the Prime Osborne Center. He represented the Arlington Senior Center. (see photo)
Bob is predeceased by his parents and brother, Allen Wayne DeLoach. He is survived by his sister, Patricia DeLoach Young, his daughter, Alison DeLoach Cruess, Kenny Wiggins, Christy Slade (Wiggins), seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Road, 32218) on Friday, October 11 at 10 a.m. He will be buried with military honors next to his father in a dual ceremony.
