

Born in Marshall County (Boaz), Alabama on June 29, 1931. He was the child of Rex and Opal Heath. He grew up in Mount Hebron, Alabama on top of Sand Mountain where he developed a lifelong passion for singing and spending time in the country.
Robert (Kyle) Heath graduated from Douglas High School in 1946 and went on to earn a degree in Accounting from McKenzie College in 1958. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War before embarking on a rewarding career in the insurance industry in 1960 with Interstate Life and Accident Insurance Company in Chattanooga, TN. He rose from an agent to an executive during the next 20 years before moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1980 and worked for Gulf Life Insurance Company as an EVP and Board Member until retirement. He went on to start a consulting company, First Coast Premier Group, in the early 90’s and finally officially retired in his late 80’s.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kyle will be remembered for his love of The Lord and his love of singing gospel hymns and John Denver tunes. He loved playing his guitar at Christmas singing everything from O Holy Night to Santa Clause is Watching You. He also loved singing duets with his wife Ann and daughter Kimberly and often sang at weddings and funerals. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his blended family and friends at home and traveling with them in the United States and abroad.
In the last few years of his life, he spent countless hours sitting on his front porch, singing alongside the people who cared for him most. He was loved by so many.
Kyle is survived by his children: Toni O’Brien (Steve), Kimberly Reeder (Brad), Kathy Westberry (Darnell), Rick Corley (Carol), Scott Corley (Teresa), John Corley and Dona Kenny (Charlie) his 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Willeen Barnett (Chester) and Corrine Mitchell (John) from Alabama.
He also leaves behind a great number of extended family members and friends who will mourn his loss.
Kyle was preceded in death by his wife Ann Heath of 35 years, parents Rex and Opal Heath and sisters Betty Palmer (Hoppy) and Faynell Musick (Leumon). Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Geraldine (Jerrie) Heath who died in 1996. They were married for 32 years, and she is the mother to his three biological children.
Kyle is also preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Heath (2001), and son Carey Corley (2023) as well as his granddaughter Pam Westberry (2019) and great grandson Kolby Jaxon Dukes (2011).
Visitation will be held at Bartram Baptist Church, 13233 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258, US, on May 27, 2026 at 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at Bartram Baptist Church, 13233 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258, US, on May 27, 2026 at 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, FL, on May 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
