HILTON—Robert C. Hilton, 72, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011. Funeral services for Mr. Hilton will be held Wednesday, March 9 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave. with Pastors Bob Mulally and Don Hutto officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Mr. Hilton was driver for Florida Rock for many years and attended Calvary Temple Church of God. Survivors include: the love of his life for more than 50 years, Deroma Hilton as well as the family he loved and provided for including: his daughters, Melinda Hilton (Keith) Waddell and Loretta Hilton (Terry) Slonaker; his sons, Toney Barnes and David (Rebeccah) Hilton; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Betty Poser and brother, Terry Hilton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
