

Robert Wayne Lemond, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016. He was born on August 10th, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Perry, Florida where he graduated from Taylor County High School in 1963 as the class valedictorian and a member of their state championship baseball team. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida, he earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Kentucky. After completing his education, he relocated to Jacksonville where he operated his own dental practice for 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Alton Lemond and Susie Browning Lemond. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Kosak Lemond; four children, Melissa Bohne (Paul), Brent Lemond (Brandy), Kyle Lemond (Tara), and Rita Frame (Ryan); four grandchildren, Robert Cooke, Elizabeth Cooke, Harold Bohne, and Skylar Williams; his brother, Gerald Alan Lemond (Beth); and two nephews, Jay and Cord Lemond.
A celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel at 4801 San Jose Blvd. at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3rd, 2016. Florida Gator or Camouflage attire is appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the deceased’s name to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
