Bucky was the beloved husband of Kim, and a devoted father to Trish. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Polly, whom he carried in his heart always. He was also preceded in death by his cherished dog, Scampi, his brother Cliff, brother Ed, his sister Patty, and his mother, Gwen. He is survived by his brother Don (Carol), sister Kelly and many loving nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Bucky.
For more than 30 years, Bucky proudly owned and operated Newstat Designer Service, building not just a business but a reputation for integrity, hard work, and standing by his word. If something needed fixing, someone needed help moving, or a friend just needed a shoulder — Bucky was the first one there.
In the 1970s, he became something of a local legend in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He lived boldly and fully — riding motorcycles (often with his sidekick “Scampi”), fishing whenever he could, enjoying a good cigar and a glass of rye whiskey with friends on his porch, and spending countless days on the water. He loved to travel, cherished his tight-knit circle of friends, and believed deeply in God, Country, and Family.
Bucky was fiercely independent, patriotic, and generous to a fault. He was the kind of man who showed up — no questions asked. A dedicated father, loyal husband, protective brother, and steadfast friend, he lived life on his own terms and left a mark wherever he went.
He will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his stubborn streak, his stories, and the way he made people feel taken care of.
His presence was larger than life, and his absence will be deeply felt.
A celebration of life will be held at The Tringali Barn. 7310 US-1, St. Augustine, FL 32086
