He was born in Rutledge Georgia to Hillyer and Louise Still.
Bob spent his childhood years in Conyers Georgia before attending the University of Georgia and Medical College of Georgia, where he earned his medical degree. He then moved to Jacksonville Fl to pursue a career in general surgery. Bob was a leader in his field, serving as Chief of Surgery at St. Lukes medical center for 25 years, where he remained until retirement.
While interning in Thomasville he met his future wife Jane Jay with whom he was married for 70 years.
Bob will be remembered for his excellent medical care, his love of fishing, gardening and snow skiing.
Bob is predeceased by his parents and wife, survived by his children Dr. Robert Still MD (Bethany), Richard Still (Lisa) and Jay Townsend (Vernon). Grandchildren Austin Kondracki (Keith), Katherine Williams (Bradley), Robert Still, Jake Still, Caroline Still, Richard Still, Amelia Still and two great grandchildren.
His life will be celebrated by a family graveside service.
