My deepest sympathy to Bob's family. I had the pleasure of knowing Bob when he was my boss in Plant 02 Bethpage. Bob was always the perfect gentle man.

I have lived the Bob and Barbara's nieghborhood for the past 9 years and I met Bob occasionally from all his efforts to keep our neighborhood nice.  I worked with him one Saturday several years ago to paint the fence at the pool.   My twin girls loved seeing him on â€œtrick or treatâ€ night each year.  He was a great man, and I pray that the Thomas family will heal and their hearts will be filled with the wonderful memories of a great man.   Whenever I stop to pick up random litter that occasionally appears on our streets I will continue do this in a tribute for Bob.  I know how much he wants our neighborhood to be a pleasant place to live.  Thank you Bob for all you did for your neighbors, you will be missed.

Bob was among the best General Managers we've ever had at the St. Augustine site. Always willing to listen, always doing his best to be fair.

So sorry to see the sad news about Bob, such a shock! Wishing the Thomas family the solace & comfort so badly needed during this very difficult time.

Bob was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor-  he will be missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Thomas family.

To the Family of Bob Thomas, Jr.:

First, let us start by offering our deepest sympathy on your loss.  We hope that God will grant you all peace and incredible memories.

As a distant neighbor of Bob's (next to the tennis courts), we rarely had the opportunity to speak with and/or spend a lot of time around himâ€¦but that's not to say we didn't know him.  His actions within our small neighborhood spoke volumes about him as a neighbor.  We often noticed Bob working at the front gate area, assisting with a neighborhood drainage issue and even ensuring that other City Agencies met their obligations to Autumn Glen Estates.

His pride in our neighborhood and willingness to ensure that its needs were always met is something that stuck out to all of us.  We are so grateful for the leadership and time he put into the place we all call home.  I know this may not seem significant in the grand scheme of things that Bob accomplished over his lifetime but we thought it was important for his family to know how much he was appreciated and that he won't be forgotten.

We also ask that you let us know if there is anything we can do for your family now or in the future.

I was sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great man. I knew Bob from Grumman/Northrup Grumman St. Augustine.Bob would drop into the Medical office and we would visit. I came to care a lot about the Orangeman! My heart and prayers are with you as you grieve your loss.

Barbara, Suzanne and I are so sorry to hear about Bob passing away. You and Bob were great neighbors. I know Bob will be missed, but we will all join him again one day.
