Robert F. Walker, 81, passed away January 19, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL. Robert proudly served his country in the Air Reserves and went into the US Army during the Korean War. Robert owned his own business for 40 years, and supported the youth development within the local community. He was known for his passion for horses, raising them and breeding them on his farm. Robert will be best remembered for his selfless generosity, helping others in times of need.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Tilda Walker; brothers, Calvin and Donald; and a sister, Frida.
He is survived by, his wife, Rossie; sons, Richard, George and Robert; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. A gathering will follow the service at the house of George and Ritu.
