Ronald Thomas Ghioto

Ronald Thomas Ghioto, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. Ronald was a life long resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He lived a purposeful and rewarding life serving in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War as a Sargent with his howitzer weapon crew. As a young man he worked with his father later taking over his livestock business eventually creating several other very successful businesses. Very admirably Ronald did all this with a high school education only. Ronald spent his life lightening the burdens of others without a concern for himself or expectation for gratitude. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Telfair Ghioto and Mary Ann Ghioto and his former wife, Connie Ghioto. He had 7 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Diane McGill, his son in law William McGill, two grandchildren, Melissa McGill and Angela Dixon, 4 great grandchildren Maleah, Aaliyah, Marcus and Michael and a very close friend and companion of 34 years Trudy Phillips along with her children Roy, Tessie, Dee Dee, and granddaughter Kristen.

Ronald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and anyone who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Ronald will be held in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 940 Cesery Blvd Jacksonville Fl 32211. The Committal Service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery located at 4535 N. Main St. Jacksonville, Fl 32206. Pastor Robert Bailey will be performing the services.
