PURVIS, Ronald Wayne Purvis, 66, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Purvis, a Jacksonville native, was retired from King Edwards with over 20 years of service and was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandra Jo Purvis; 3 sons: William , Michael (Janis) and Christopher (Michelle) Dorman; 1 sister, Yvonne Duffy; 2 brothers, Donald Purvis and Wayne Yates;mother-in-law, Margaret Blair; 2 grandsons, John (Michelle) and Kendel Dorman; 1 great granddaughter, Johanna; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013, in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Pastor Steve Wolgamott officiating.
