Ronnie Gary Woods, 62, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Mr. Woods was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Ronnie was a devoted family man, doting grandfather and friend. Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Woods, Dawn Douglas, Lana Woods and Marlena Woods; four sisters, Janet Jenkins, Thelma Carter, Wanda Taylor and Cynthia Aldridge; four brothers, David, Clayton, Martin and John Woods; 14 grandchildren, other loving family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, July 12, in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. Ken Rose officiating. The family will receive friends one hour to the service. Following cremation, a committal service, with military honors, will held at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
