Rosa Zieman, nee Minassian, 64, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023 of natural causes. Beloved wife of the late Charles, whom she shared 32 wonderful years with; Loving and devoted mother of Stephen Zieman, whom she was the constant rock and strength for; Fond aunt of Alicia Zieman and Leloni Minassian, whom she loved even when distance separated them; Mama Z to the Toledo Family (Rhen, Pinky, Almond, Michael, and Lauren) whom she considered family; Devoted daughter of the late Jack and Mary Minassian; Caring sister of the late Theodore Minassian; and beautiful friend to many, near and far.
Originally born over Beirut, Lebanon due to her parent’s careers with PanAm Airlines, she made her life in Chicago, Illinois. That is where she met the love of her life for 32 years - Charles. After having Stephen, they lived in Schaumburg, IL, creating a beautiful life together. There, Rosa was active within her parish of St. Hubert, around town, and in her career of being a teacher’s aide and ER nurse. These culminated in friendships that have lasted a lifetime. After losing Charles in late 2019, she and Stephen moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2020 to create new chapters in life, right in the middle of a pandemic. Taking up knitting, crocheting, and crafts, Rosa kept her mind engaged and active, while also enjoying Disney World, all with her son whom she loved more than life itself. Her life and legacy lives on through all those she touched and impacted all throughout her life. May her memory be eternal, as she dances with Charles, pain-free in Heaven.
Visitation and Services will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, located at 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl. 32223 on Saturday, September 23, 2023 beginning at 5:30pm.
