I am so sorry for your loss.  I am a neighbor of your Mother and have always enjoyed her beautiful gardens.  She will be truly missed here on Heather Lake.

Ruth and Bob were friends with my parents, Tom and Juanita Jowers, in the 1960's-70's.  Laughter filled our house when your family visited or came over for parties.  I am sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to hear of your loss, and send my deepest sympathies to your family.  I hope that with time you will all be comforted by the fun and funny memories of your mother.  I will always remember her surrounded by the angels she made (when we both were at the Lakewood fair).  I am sure she is still surrounded by angels.  God bless your family.

we were very surprised to hear that Ruth passed away. We offer our sincere condolences to you, since we know how it feels, when a mother is gone.
Ruth has accompanied my whole life as a really good aunt, although she was so far away.
During my childhood she brougth so often light and happiness in the sometimes gray everyday life.

Ruth's memory will live on in the flowers she grew for me- they're in my garden, blooming.  She was a wonderful lady
and I'll miss her.

I've known Ruth for over 15 years. She was a client of mine at the bank. She would come in all full of energy and talk to me about her craft making. She would bring us the "little angels" she would make at Christmas. I was always jealous of her really cute outfits she would make to wear. She was a joy to speak with. She will be very very missed.

We saw the obituary in the Tallahassee Democrat today.  Our family currently lives in the Tallahassee house on Oakdale Street built by Mr. and Mrs. Chastain in 1973.  Some years ago Mrs. Chastain drove by while I was out front mowing the lawn.  She told me who she was (I knew the name from having done research on the house prior to buying it) and we spent an enjoyable few moments together.  She was a very sweet, dignified lady and I can still hear her German accent as I write this.  I asked her if she might want to come inside and see the old house again, but she declined, saying there were just too many memories in there.  One of my wife's co-workers at Leon High School was a close friend of one of the Chastain girls and regaled us with stories of the mischief the two of them got into at the house.   We will pray for the repose of Mrs. Chastain's soul and for the consolation of her family.  -- Ed & Marty Towey and family.

I offer my sincere condolences to Karen and her family.  I understand your heart ache as I lost my mother this year.  Both our mothers were born in 1924.  I only know that it a blessing to have your mother for such a long time yet so difficult to realize she is gone.
